HOW TO APPLY FOR FULL MEMBERSHIP

  • Next General Assembly: during 11 – 13 April 2018 in Paris, France

Which documents are needed?

  • application: endorsement letter and application form
  • at least 2 recommendation letters written by current members (of which only one can represent applicant’s country of origin)

Before printing it you can fill in the name of the applying institution, name of the person signing it as well as place and date.

  1. Recommendation letters

Each applicant needs to obtain at least 2 recommendation letters from current Cumulus full members in 2 different countries to support the application. The letters shall be written according to the following example, see templates.

  • New Members’ Fair

New Members’ Fair is arranged during each conference hosting a General Assembly. It is obligatory for each applicant recommended by the board to participate in it by presenting the applicant institution for the representatives of the General Assembly and the current members with printed (posters, brochures, publications) and preferably also by electronic material (e.g. a pps running on a laptop). Should the applicant not be able to participate in the New Members’ Fair the General Assembly will not vote on the membership but the application will be postponed by one year until the next General Assembly.

How to submit documents?

  • All documents should be submitted before the indicated deadline.
  • Application form is only accepted as submitted on-line.
  • Endorsement letter should be signed and if possible, stamped. To be submitted as an original hard copy by post. Close to the deadline it is possible to send a fax or scan of the document and a hard copy afterwards.
  • Recommendation letters should always be signed. Submission: hard copies by post, by fax or  scans by e-mail.

Costs

The application process is free of charge.

An invoice of the membership of the ongoing year (in full) will be sent to the new members after the General Assembly. The membership fee of 2017 is 1.200€ per institution. The General Assembly makes a decision of the amount of the fee yearly.
