This year Aalto sees three individuals from our community nominated to the finals: Maria Korkeila, alumni Eeva Rönkä and Sofia Okkonen.
The 32nd annual Festival International de Mode & de Photographie Hyères award will be held at the end of April in France. Each year the competition brings together the best and brightest in their field to be reviewed by a panel of influential artists, designers and professionals from various fields of fashion.

Politecnico di Milano and European Space Agency ESA are proud to announce the first edition of the Higher Education Course “Fashion in Orbit”, an innovative course – from the experience of Couture in Orbit with ESA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B99ncZ5eSM0 – that mixes fashion, wearable technology, space and interaction design.
This is the first design course in Italy ever sponsored by European Space Agency. If you want to know more about the most advanced technologies involved in smart textiles and tested in extreme environment this is the perfect occasion: three weeks to deeply investigate on innovation research in the fashion area.

European Architectural History Network (EAHN) is organising its fifth pan-European meeting in Tallinn, Estonia, from June 13-16, 2018. In accordance with its mission statement, the meeting aims to increase the visibility of the discipline; to foster transcultural, transnational and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of the built environment; and to facilitate the exchange of research results in the field. Although the scope of the meeting is European, members of the larger scholarly community are invited to submit proposals related not only to European architecture but also to that of the rest of the world.
