Searching the future vision for housing related energy services.
The contest is open for professional designers, software developers, students and design enthusiasts around the world. We are searching for radically new service concepts and meanings for the future of housing and energy. Three winning entries will be granted a cash prize award and will be further developed in multidisciplinary co-creation workshops in Finland in autumn 2012.
The entry period for the competition has been extended and is now September 14, 2012.
We are looking for future visions on Housing related energy services. The contest is open for professional designers, software developers, students and design-enthusiasts around the world. We are searching for radically new service concepts and meanings for the future of housing and energy. Three winning entries will be granted a cash prize award.
We are interested in envisioning and conceptualizing future ways of energy related home services in design-oriented ways, which means that social changes are regarded as important as technological enablers in shaping the future of homes and energy. We are open to radically new ideas. It is not necessary to focus on technical details. To inspire You, check out the design drivers below.
Main objectives

To find energy and home related solutions that support low-carbon, sustainable living.

Enable users in their striving toward effortless and responsible lifestyle within a service ecosystem where various digital, material and social parts of the services support each other. In your proposition, include the motivations, actions and decisions for the service use.

Services must be based on realizable business model innovations, making visions and reality come together.
