Cumulus Bengaluru welcomes Camilla and Philip as Cumulus Student Ambassadors
Cumulus conference Letters to the Future Bengaluru, India
November 20 – 23, 2017
Hosted by Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology
My name is Camilla. I’m studying to become an accessory designer at Design School Kol¬ding, Denmark. I care about sustainability, well-being, welfare design and designthin¬king. My hopes is to be part of designing a better world through objects, services and mindsets. The only way this is possible is if we learn from each other and connect on a global level. This is why I can’t wait to attend Cummulus in Benglaru, India because I am sure they will provide me with lots of inputs, inspiration and knowledge. All these com¬ponents will help me in the future and expand my horisonts. In the long run I hope to work with design in other countries that do things different from Denmark.

Philip Jensen is a second-year student majoring in Communication Design
I am looking forward to join the wonderful Cumulus experience once again. Being in the wonderful atmosphere of Cumulus in Kolding was quite fantastic. People were enthusiastic and open and I met a lot of fun, brilliant and joyful persons and collaborated with even more. Introducing people to the Danish culture was exciting so I am equally excited to see, feel, smell, taste and experience India. I hope to push my understandment of design and its capabilities even further, while meeting new people, experience a new culture and participate in fun and exciting lectures and workshop.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The Cumulus Student Ambassador Program is a special student award and merit-based initiative of the Cumulus International Association of Art, Design and Media that recognizes exceptional student leaders from the universities and institutions hosting the Cumulus Association Annual Conferences. Each year, Cumulus invites a total of four Student Ambassadors (two per annual conference) to contribute their singular voices to the Association’s Conferences and the Cumulus community overall.
Through the Cumulus Student Ambassador Program, the Cumulus Association is committed to bringing the perspectives and voices of exceptionally talented and articulate students to the forefront, with the goal of highlighting the changes that the next generation of artists and designers are shaping in an increasingly complex and interconnected global marketplace for art and design.
