_competition theme: public space furniture. Design in public place is the key curative for people - no matter what your age, your height or thickness of your wallet is. Thus, it is the right time to create a perfect piece of furniture, but not for home. Also not only for general manager office. Let's think about nursery, hospital, school, prison... Do not forget about design therapy, design education or design ecology. Let the "design for the public" help us all understand "who we are?" "where we are?" "why we are?".

_place and time: the best selected design products will be exhibited and the winners of the competition awarded during "Design week" 15-23 May, 2009 in Vilnius.

_participants: we invite to participate all creative personalities thinking in a non-standard and social way regardless their profession, age or political views.

_important dates: competition will be held in two steps:

1st step: concepts, sketches, photos of the prototypes will be accepted until 16 March 2009. The jury will define the best products which will be exhibited at the exhibition during "Design week" in Vilnius and will announce the selection results to the participants until 23 March 2009.

2nd step: the prototypes of the selected products have to be manufactured until 10 May 2009.
