ELIA will organise it 12th Biennial Conference in 2012 and is calling upon its members to nominate a venue.

ELIA is currently preparing the 11th Biennial Conference that will take place in Nantes in October 2010. Since its founding in 1990 ELIA has organised 10 Biennial Conferences.

The ELIA Biennial Conference is usually organised in October and attracts roughly 500 delegates, representing more than 40 countries, giving the host institute(s) a unique opportunity to present themselves to Higher Art Education Institutions and Universities from all over the world. The host institute's students and teachers are encouraged to be involved in the development of the conference. Deadline for expressions of interest to host the ELIA Biennial 2012 needs to be received 15 April 2010 the latest. The executive group will select 3 venues that will be visited by the President and Executive Director, the Board will decide in its meeting 25, 26 September 2010. The selected venue will get the floor in Nantes to present itself.
