SUMMARY OF MISSION STATEMENT
The Media and Design Academy shelters creativity through training and experiment. The tools are only a part of the trade: the human factor is the basis for development. Knowledge, experience and intuītion are combined to find new concepts. These are developed into practical solutions.
THE ROLE OF THE MEMBER UNIT IN INTERNATIONAL SECTOR AND ITS COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER UNIVERSITIES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS
The Media and Design Academy sends and receives students and teachers from different European Universities. It shelters the International Educational Meetings (IDEM)- workshops that started there some 20 years ago. These workshops were held in several European and other countries and triggered different new initiatives for international collaboration.
THE ROLE OF THE MEMBER UNIT IN NATIONAL AND REGIONAL SECTORS AND IN HOME CITY AND ITS COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER UNIVERSITIES, ASSOCIATIONS, INDUSTRIAL AND BUSINESS CONNECTIONS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS.
The Media and Design Academy organizes part of its curriculum in collaboration with other "Euregional" institutions in Germany and The Netherlands. Projects are created together with other Belgian schools, industry, musea and cultural institutions. Internationally renown artists, designers and specialists are invited to take part in this proces.
