SUMMARY OF MISSION STATEMENT Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in Paris, ESAG Penninghen is a private school under the supervision of the French Ministry of Education and Research. It offers 5 years of post-Baccalaureate study and awards 2 distinct Master Grade Degrees: - Degree in “Graphic Design-Art Direction”, which qualifies graduates for careers in image-making and visual communication: graphic design, press, video, television, cinema, and 2D design in general. - Degree in “Interior Architecture”, recognized by the French Board of Interior Architects, certified by the State, which qualifies graduates for careers in architecture, design, special events, scenography, furniture design, and 3D design in general. The first year of the “Licence” cycle offers a foundation course preparing students for selective entrance examinations to art schools in France and abroad, which award other degrees. ESAG Penninghen develops top-level professionals The diverse fields of design require equally diverse professional skills. The designer must analyze, imagine, express, commercialize, develop, supervise, and complete team projects. This is why the reputation of ESAG is associated to the notion of rigour and self-discipline. Drawing skills are fundamental, to meet the diverse demands of the profession, to utilize the tools of new design technology with creativity. A renowned faculty of professionals – Including Michel Bouvet, Etienne Robial, Bernard Baissait, Jean-Louis Bloch-Lainé, borja Huidobro, Vitrac Pool, Jean-Louis Berthet, Dragon Rouge…– transmit their knowledge and experience to each new generation of graduates. THE ROLE OF THE MEMBER UNIT IN INTERNATIONAL SECTOR AND ITS COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER UNIVERSITIES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS Since its creation, ESAG Penninghen has favoured international contact and exchange. The school is co-founder of CUMULUS, international association of schools and universities specializing in art, design and media, more than 100 members to date. ESAG Penninghen applies the University Charter issued by the European Commission, and has participated in the Socrates-Erasmus programme for over fifteen years with hundreds of student exchanges. The final Master Grade Degree is awarded by an International Jury. |
