THE ROLE OF THE MEMBER UNIT IN INTERNATIONAL SECTOR AND ITS COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER UNIVERSITIES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS The School is very active in the European League of Institutes of the Arts, the Interartes thematic network and the Artesnet thematic network, ISTD – International Society of Typographic Designers and has active research partnerships with UIAH /TAIK, Loughborough, Kingston University, Art Academy of Latvia and Middlesex University. |

THE ROLE OF THE MEMBER UNIT IN NATIONAL AND REGIONAL SECTORS AND IN HOME CITY AND ITS COLLABORATION WITH PARTNER UNIVERSITIES, ASSOCIATIONS, INDUSTRIAL AND BUSINESS CONNECTIONS AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS. The School is the 2nd largest higher level art and design institute in Ireland. It offers BA, MA/M.Phil and P.Hd degrees in art and design. It is a lead partner in the newly established Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media which will fund and promote practice based P.Hd research in art, design and media. The Head of School is a boardmember of Design Ireland and the Head of the Dept of Design is a member of the Council of the Institute of Designers in Ireland. The Head of the Dept of Design is Chairman of National Design Week 2008. |
