The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków is a state-owned institution teaching prospective artists and designers from Poland and abroad creative attitude towards the world surrounding them and awareness of their independent artistic personality and indispensable artistic/design skills.
The Academy is actively engaged in international cooperation. Many of our students study abroad within Erasmus programme and even more arrive to study for one semester/academic year at our institution. We play an active role in CEEPUS II programme and have many partners all over the world. We are a member of many international artistic associations.
The Academy is actively engaged in artistic life in Kraków and at the national level through participation in many kinds of artistic events promoting culture, art education and charity. It is an active member of many inter-university bodies in Poland.
