UAL is the largest art, design and communication university in the UK and it plays a key role in the development of art and design education across the sector. It is a major member of the National Arts Learning Network which aims to widen participation in higher education. We work in partnership with all the key UK art and design universities and colleges. We also work with a number of schools across London to encourage non traditional applicants and to support the delivery of the new 14-19 Diploma. We have significant links with community organisations. Industry links are extensive, each School has at least one industry forum which supports academic development and delivery. Industry links also include work placements and internships, mentoring schemes, student bursaries and equipment and materials donations and a range of course sponsorship initiatives.
