Summary

Mission

The course lasts three years.
At the end of the course the student will graduate in Industrial Design. The Graduate Course in Industrial Design provides the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the technical activities required to design a product or a system of industrial products from its creation to its development, engineering and mass production. During the course, the teaching staff help the student to choose one of the following courses, relative training and degree
dissertation:
Industrial design, visual, multimedia and interactive communications, (visual and graphic design, web design, interface design)
Industrial design, quality and eco-efficiency of the product (ergonomic design, ecodesign, packaging)
Industrial design, furnishings and design (interior design, exhibition design, public design)
Industrial design, product and process innovation: in the field of product design and furniture design
Industrial design, product and process innovation:
in the field of design for transportation and nautical sciences
Industrial design, product and process innovation: in the field of lighting design
Industrial design, product and process innovation: in the field of fashion design
After graduating in Industrial Design, the students can enrol in the two-year specialist degree course organised by the national university system.
Rome University "La Sapienza" holds specialist degree courses in industrial design and visual communications. The aim of the course is to supplement and complete the skills acquired during the initial three-year course, so that the designer is capable of creating and controlling the aesthetics and communicative traits of the products, artefacts and objects we use everyday.
