Andreia Menezes De Bernardi
doctoral student in design and professor
State University Minas Gerais (UEMG), Design School, Brazil
Andréia De Bernardi is a Brazilian art / educator who works at the intersections of art, cultural heritage, and design. Doctoral student working at the Social Design Integrated Center (CIDS) her current interests consist of deep mapping, art education, creative economy, cultural heritage and social museology. Andréia is currently developing a research project which aims to collaboratively construct symbolic cartographies in co-operation with elderly women by using social design skills and human sciences approaches. She is also professor of the Visual Arts teaching degree in Design School of the State University of Minas Gerais / UEMG, one of the first design schools in Brazil, having graduate and undergraduate programs in design and a history which has been accumulating relevant production.

International University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Kenan Zekic is a design educator and multidisciplinary designer particularly interested in social impact design. He works as an associate professor at the International University in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), received his master’s degree in the UK and was a Fulbright scholar in the US. In recent years Kenan’s academic and professional focus is set on design and technology relationships and practices in underdeveloped regions. From 2017, he is a local leader of the IxDA Interaction Design Association Chapter in Bosnia and Herzegovina. His works and projects have been presented and exhibited in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Turkey, Serbia, South Korea, Iran, and the USA. He was a designer of the first Bosnian and Herzegovina national currency coins after the war 1992-1995, which is still in use.

Ho Technical University, Ghana
Mr. Kwame started his career as a Graphic Designer in his own firm, Technosound Company Limited in 2005 after his B.A. in Integrated Rural Art and Industry at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He further enrolled in a Master’s Programme and completed with Masters in Art Education at KNUST in 2010. He accepted an assistant lectureship position in 2012 at Ho Technical University, Ghana formerly Ho Polytechnic. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of a Lecturer. In 2015, he was appointed as the Head, Department of Industrial Art. This position he served for three (3) years. Mr. Kwame believes in bringing industry experience into the classroom and therefore in March 2018 he established another company called Elshaddai Impression Limited. In 1st November, 2018, he was appointed Head, Printing and Photography Unit of the University which he is serving currently. As Lecturer in Ho Technical University, he handle courses such as 3D Computer Graphics, Photography, Digital Painting, Digital Illustration, etc. These and others he facilitate applying latest trends of technologies and practices in industries. These he believe will make his student top-notch in the field of work. Being academician, entrepreneur and industrialist, he believes in respect for all and dedication to work. His area of interest ranges from 2D and 3D Computer Graphics, printing & 3D printing, Photography, Computer Aided Design in Teaching of Arts. Some of his contributions to the development of the university are; he has served on a number of committees and he plays a pivotal role in the design works of the university. His research interests focus on Rhinoceros 3D, Computer Aided Learning, Idea development from nature, illustrated cartoons. He has attended a number of conferences. Mr. Kwame is a member of Ghana Art Teachers Association (GATA), Design Ghana (DG) and Pan Afrikan Design Institute (PADI).
About Cumulus PLUS+
The aim is to create the opportunity for friendship between people and generate partnership and exchange of knowledge between the different institutions. Cumulus mobilizes candidates with a travel grant to come over to the conferences under the Cumulus umbrella. The target group are academics and staff working in colleges and universities in art, design and media in higher education from different parts of the world and countries less familiar to Cumulusians.
