Cumulus Connects Goes Live Sept. 11!
The countdown is on for our much anticipated new microsite, CumulusConnects to launch on September 11! With the tagline “Connecting the Community through Online Conversations that Matter” the CumulusConnects editorial team is inviting our members, working groups and partners to visit and register at cumulusconnects.org starting September 11 to contribute ideas that will continue shaping this dynamic new platform.
Professor and Cumulus Vice President, Philipp Heidkamp (KISD), who led the development of this critical new virtual space for our community reflects on its vision and programmatic goals:
In response to the unprecedented times we are all experiencing in our ways of teaching, learning, conducting research, and staying connected as a global community, we are responding with a new site as a space for connection and conversation that invites the Cumulus Family, our Cumulus Working Groups and our network of partners and friends around the world to meet virtually and share expertise and experiences about the implications of this “new normal.” How do we seize this moment to be resilient, to generate new ideas for collaboration and collective action? How do we support one another and look ahead with optimism?
We are supporting online live events and curating a series of ongoing Global Conversations and Expertise Talks that will be archived as a unique repository of, and for our community. We are excited to see your suggestions to set the agenda by suggesting emerging topics for our dialogues.
On behalf of the team I had the pleasure to work with, I am happy to share the new site with our community very soon. Together let us engage
Be sure to tune in on the platform September 11 at 13hs UTC to participate in the live inaugural Global Conversation of CumulusConnects. Register here: https://webropol.com/s/cumulusglobalconversation
