mission statement

The College for Creative Studies nurtures the creativity that is vital to the enrichment of modern culture.  The College educates visual artists and designers, knowledgeable in varied fields, who will be leaders in creative professions that shape society and advance economic growth.  The College fosters students’ resolve to pursue excellence, act ethically, embrace their responsibilities as citizens of diverse local and global communities, and learn throughout their lives.  The College engages in community service by offering opportunities for artistic enrichment and opening career pathways to talented individuals of all ages.

international role

The College for Creative Studies has been expanding its global footprint and developing exchange programs and articulation agreements with institutions in France, Germany, Austria, China, Japan, and India to benefit students at CCS and the partner institutions.  

national role

College for Creative Studies has been a leading institution in art and design education with an excellent reputation and student success in their fields. CCS is a member institution of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), as well as the College Art Association (CAA) and has been making contributions in sharing institutional data, participating in mobility programs, and hosting/attending conferences.

The College for Creative Studies faculty members and students conduct various applied design research activities including user interaction and experience, trend forecasting, mobility in all design disciplines through a great number of industry-collaboration projects as well as institution-initiated projects.
