Mission Statement

Ensaama trains creative designers who go on to become renowned in the fields of design and contemporary crafts. With its multidisciplinary curriculum, our school adapts applied arts to the requirements of businesses so as to shine an innovative light on daily life and the world of tomorrow in France and abroad.

International Role

Ensaama is internationally renowned in design and contemporary crafts, not only due to its historical background, but also thanks to the wide variety of courses offered and the high standards in terms of teaching.

In addition to professional connections in France and abroad, the college has long-standing partnerships with leading international schools of design in more than 20 countries worldwide. These exchanges enable students to develop different design approaches and thus enrich their speciality. The curriculum includes student internships abroad, which we strongly encourage.

Our students, global citizens actively contributing to a changing world, are sensitive to the concept of sustainable design. Their projects are direct representations of a combined environmental and socio-economic awareness.

Ensaama, fueled by innovation, international development and creativity, contributes in applying design and contemporary crafts as essential paradigms in societal evolution.

National Role

Ensaama was originally created from two renowned Institutes: l'Ecole des Métiers d'Art and l'Ecole des Arts Appliqués à l'Industrie – the School of Arts and Crafts and the School of Industrial Arts. As a result, we foster shared projects and encourage our students to learn from what is done in other studios. By developing their capacity to adapt as well as their curiosity, our students graduate, fully prepared for the job market.

Ensaama's privileged partners include the business world and design practitioners. As co-educators, these professionals join us in our numerous collaborative workshops. Our students win prestigious competitions in design and crafts such as 'Club des DA, Construire Acier, L'intelligence de la main, prix Maif'…

AREP Design Lab (SNCF Architecture and Design Office); Comité Colbert with Chanel, Christian Dior, Delisle, Hermès & Saint-Louis, Louis Vuitton and Potel et Chabot; L'Oréal; CNES; CNOFS, Dyson, Ecole des Mines Paritech.brita, Formica, National Geographic, Orange, PSA, Sciences-Po… represent a non-exhaustive sample of our renowned educational partnerships.

Ensaama offers the diversity of a multi-faceted curriculum emerging at the crossroads of contemporary design.
