ITU Faculty of Architecture, situated in the industrial and cultural capital of Turkey, acts as a midpoint between east and west, acts as a hub in the network of design. The faculty collaborates with partner universities on different levels such as organizing conferences, carrying out research projects. Members of the faculty act as jury members in post graduate dissertations. The faculty is a member of European Association for Architectural Education, Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, ICSID. Architectural Program of the Department of Architecture: Bachelor of Architecture (4 Years) plus Master of Architecture (2 Years) is ‘substantially equivalent’ to NAAB-accredited programs as of January 1, 2008.
ITU Faculty of Architecture acts as an agency and leader between the rest of architecture and design faculties in Turkey. The faculty is in collaboration with Turkish governmental and non-governmental organizations such as: Turkish Ministry of Industry, Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, The Istanbul Chamber of Industry, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, The Chamber of Architects of Turkey, Industrial Designers’ Association, The Chamber of Interior Architects of Turkey, The Chamber of Landscape Architects of Turkey, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, The Turkish Academy of Sciences.
