PackZero and Agave Bioplastic win BE OPEN’s SLTD competition!

The Cumulus GREEN 2020 competition with its focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 12: “Ensure sustainable consumption and production” lives on. All Cumulus Green 2020 Honorable Mention projects were considered for two additional prizes by the Cumulus partner and think tank the BE OPEN Foundation’s. The public Vote Award and the Founder’s Choice Award were won by Agave Bioplastic and PackZero projects in the “Second Life of Things in Design” competition.

The project, PackZero, a circular delivery network that combines reusable packaging with hybrid pickup and delivery by Ruoyi An, Yanhui Ban and Shijie Luan, students at ArtCenter College of Design, US, has been selected as the winning one by the Founder of the BE OPEN Foundation, entrepreneur and philanthropist Elena Baturina.

An online vote defined the winner of the Public Vote Award. The award went to Fernanda Ordorica Bechelany, a student of National School of Architecture, Art and Design at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico, for her Agave Bioplastic project.
