There is a vacancy as a full-time professor in Interior Architecture at the Department of Design. The successful candidate should ideally be able to take up the post on 1/08/2018.
The Department of Design is part of the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design at the University of Bergen, a leading professional community offering research-based training at bachelor, master and PhD level. The faculty has around 600 students and 174 staff.
Duties/area of research
We are looking to appoint a professor who will be able to teach and engage in artistic research in a multidisciplinary environment. The role is relatively flexible in terms of own professional design profile.
The successful applicant must have a wide professional design background and be motivated and qualified to work in cross-disciplinary contexts and projects. The appointee will also be actively involved in developing curricula at bachelor, master and PhD level.
We are looking to appoint a person who has the will to research and expand the limits of interior architecture. The person employed in the position must be able to cover different parts of the subject of interior architecture and work in both an experimental and a result-oriented way. Emphasis will be placed on concept development where functionality, aesthetic design etc. create a totality.
