The UQAM School of Design invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Environmental Design: Design Process and Fabrication at the rank of assistant professor.
With this new position, the School of Design seeks to strengthen its undergraduate and graduate programs in design as well as to ensure research development in this area. The School’s dynamic team of professors is recognized locally and internationally for the quality of its research and creative output.
The Environmental design program is a unique educational project in North America that focuses on an integrated approach to design, linking the scales of the object, architecture and urban design. The candidate must have an area of specialization that includes specific knowledge of materials and processes of transformation.
The successful applicant must hold a Master degree in the discipline or in a related field, as well as a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience. Previous teaching experience is an asset. The candidate will also be prepared to participate actively in administrative tasks within the School. The teaching and working language is French, so fluency in this language is required.
